Many local groups had hawkers selling lemonade, chances on quilts, canoes and canned jellies, and rubber ducks for the Duck Race that would be held on the following weekend. Donations were being collected by workers from Jim's Collision who sponsored this year's fireworks show on the county fairgrounds.
