Colores de Santa Fe

There are many old, historic adobe buildings in New Mexico. Adobe bricks are made from local mud with straw added for strength. Thick walls of adobe brick provide cool temperatures in the summer and efficient heat retention during winter months. Nearly all of the construction in Santa Fe incorporates the classic low, adobe design. The result gives Santa Fe a unique personality.
