The Grand Canyon can be accessed from its north or south rims. The south rim offers the easiest access and by far the best and most expansive views of the canyon.
Visitors may attempt to reconcile the immensity of the gorge and all of the associated drama of its beauty with the pervasive silence that completely surrounds them. Despite the large of visitors, the seven-mile rim trail offers many locations to experience the canyon without the sounds of other people.
Over five million visitors come each year from around the world to experience the canyon.
