As all such sites in the world are, visting Manzanar is a moving, emotional experience. The story told here is not pretty nor does it bring about any pride in how we react in times of distress. There is an important lesson here. Not all will get it, but those who do will be able to keep watch and perhaps prevent fear from making us into less than we can be.
