Albuquerque's International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta attracts nearly 600 hot air balloons from around the world each October. It's held on an open, turfed field the size of 50 football fields. With morning dawn patrols, sunrise mass ascensions, sunset glodeos and after dark fireworks, it's a breathtakingly awesome experience, a kaleidoscope of color, shapes, and patterns.
