pottery from the Lima-Nieveria
Apogee Epoch (1AD – 800AD) was produced on the central coast
and displays features from the cultural traditions of both northern
and southern Peru. It incorporates sculptural scenes from the
northern tradition and characterises its southern influences with
the double spout and “bridge” design, its polychrome decoration,
and its use of bright orange as its predominant colour.
