it was raining when we
went ashore at Baie-Comeau, ﴾Quebec﴿, Canada on Wednesday
8 October. This “N.Y.C Taxi” was parked in the main street, waiting
for a passenger, from the Seabourn Quest, who had booked it for
a trip to see the sights. This one was built, by the Checker Motors
Corporation Kalamazoo, in 1981, a year before production ceased.
It has done more 2,500,000 miles, has a Chevrolet motor and a set
of ﴾non-standard﴿ mag Wheels. More at; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Checker_Taxi
