the Manly Ferry, and all of
the other Sydney Ferries, is a good way to see Sydney Harbour,
especially if you are over 65 years of age (as there is a special
ticket which sells for $2.50 per day that allows senior citizens to
travel all day on any Sydney Ferry, train or bus network in Sydney.
The Ministry of Transport, Transport Data Centre reports that; Sydney
Ferries carries around 14 million passengers a year and estimates that
the market share of patronage is distributed as follows; 91% of passengers
pass through Circular Quay wharf. 47% of patronage is from the Manly
service. 43% of patronage is from the Inner Harbour and Eastern Suburbs
services. 10% of patronage is from the Parramatta River services.
