the Pied Currawong
Strepera graculina, is a regular visitor to Cottons Cottage.
The bird is endemic to Australia, and populates the eastern
part of the continent between Cape York in Queensland and
the southern tip of Victoria, and about 500 kilometres inland.
It is also known as (according to Wikipedia) Pied Chillawong
Currawang, Charawack, Kurrawack, Tallawong, Tullawong,
Mutton-bird, Otway Forester and Pied Afternoon-tea Bird.
