Oxford grey. Thu 8.

further to yesterday’s almost daily email
I can report that, apparently, Oxford was spelt Oxforde in Middle English and
Oxnaforda in Old English, and that Oxford is used in some other words. There
is an Oxford accent, an Oxford movement (a group of High Church Anglicans
who developed into Anglo-Catholicis), an Oxford Group (Christian movement
which was popular in the 1930s), and an Oxford Comma. Oxford shoes (also
known as Balmorals) is a style of laced shoe, and Oxford-grey is a dark grey
which it is said reminds one of the predominant colour of the skies in Oxford.

C U on the email, keith 
