This sculpture, faces George Street,
from the building on the north west corner of George and Market street,
Sydney. I don’t know the name of the building or the sculptor.
After a bit more research I found the building, 46-48 Market Street,
was designed and built by the Commonwealth Department of Works between 1946 and 1948.
It is Heritage listed on the SYDNEY LOCAL ENVIRONMENTAL PLAN 2005 - SCHEDULE 5,
and a planner from the City of Sydney was good enough to look up the listing,
while I waited on the phone, and the names “Lewers” & “Dadswell”
were mentioned as the sculptors, although the titles of the works were
