A collection taken in the last couple weeks and prepared for the 2016 HPS Portfolio Event. For this event, I chose to take a detailed look at the Texas coast using time and water in an attempt to portray an ethereal view of the subjects. Often using a 10-stop neutral density (ND) filter I searched the coast for solitary features (e.g. free-standing rocks, groins and sea walls) and photographed these features using long exposures, which tend to blur wave movement while leaving the subjects in sharp focus. The resulting images seen here hopefully portray views of the Texas coast not usually considered by the casual observer.
