But it was time for a change and we moved a few weeks ago to Timor Leste

July 2012 we visited Timor Leste for the first time, and decided that my wife Dorothy Culloty would accept the new job offered to her there. Although our visit there was only three days, I took a few photographs around streets and markets, which I will publish here. Since the job, which starts in October this year, is for two years, I anticipate this gallery may grow and eventually include sub galleries, maybe lead to a whole new chapter in my documentary photography...

Now two weeks after we arrived in the country, I got my first 'job' photographing toilets in little rural villages, for a campaign to improve hygiene standards. Poor hygiene is one of the main contributing factors to high child mortality rates.
In the process, I couldn't help noticing the people in the villages, so they got photographed too, very willingly, I must add.
