Part of the New Year celebration is that before dawn on NY day, the young people go out into the fields to pick ome flowers to offer to their elders. This is done in a ceremonial ay, with certain dance passes and moves. The actual event, because it is before dawn and outside, would be very hard to photograph, (I don't use flash). But i came across a dress rehearsal of this ceremony in the late afternoon, so I photographed that instead.
