The ceremony was held in the Tai Dam village of Ban Nong Boua.
Baci ceremonies are often held for special occasions such as birth, wedding, funerals, or in honour of someone special. This one coincided with Tai Dam New Year.
The occasion is also used to slaughter a pig or so and have a big feast.
