Well, I haven't been out much to explore.I've only had the car a day and most of that was spent working. Here's some pictures of my immediate vicinity though.
The first two pictures are of my apartment building. As you can see, most of the architecture here is white - maybe a little adobe here and there, but mostly white. It makes everything look so pristine. Especially in the mornings when I'm out so early and the men and boys are walking to the mosks for prayer and they're wering their white robes. It makes it even more surreal.
I plan on taking pics inside but until I get a wardrobe for the rest of my clothes, they're
hanging from just about every available doorway. The place is real nice - clean and fairly modern. Certainly not third-world like I thought.
There's a huge contingent of Western Expatriates(Expats) here from England, Australia, South Africa. Everyone walks around with an accent; I feel like I'm a little left out, though when I get tired (which is about noon since I get to work at 5:30), I can start slurring into a nice Dallas drawl.
