This room is where the magic happens. Once the mash is ready, it is pumped to the still house. There are 3 solid copper stills (made in Rothes, Scotland) that each batch works through, entering the fist still as "low wine" and exiting the last still as "high wine, also known as whitedog" which is pure alcohol. The brassy looking box on the wall in the background is used to measure the final output, and is also used to take samples of the white dog. From there, its transferred into the charred oak barrels to begin the aging process. Woodford Reserve is the only distillery in Kentucky that uses the original design copper stills, as they are not made to handle large production. Small Batch Bourbon in its truest form!
