Entrance to the mash house

Millville, Kentucky

Woodford Reserve #1. The Millstone over the door to the "Mash House" dates this building to 1818, . A distillery had been operating on this property since 1780 by the Pepper family and was sold to Labrot & Graham which began expansion of the facilities. Through this door is where the main ingredients are ground, mixed and fermented into the mash, which is then distilled. The buildings are all original (and restored) making this the oldest distillery in the state.
