Thank You for Sharing a Few Seconds of Your Life in My Hand

This picture was taken in front of the building our business is in.
As I walked up to our store, this young bird was walking around the sidewalk
somewhat dazed. I think it must have flown into one of the large glass windows
and sort of knocked herself silly.

I picked her up to see if there was anything obviously broken or damaged and I didn't
see anything. I told her if she would stay around for just a couple more minutes
that I would really appreciate the chance to take a portrait of her.
I ran inside, grabbed my camera and came back outside.
She was still there, and posed very politely for several shots. I put her in a small
evergreen tree for a few minutes and watched her. She let me hang around a while longer
and then she flew off, seemingly none the worse for the experience.

Very cool photo. What a beautiful bird! I especially love the title, it's very fitting. Come across birds much, hm? It must have been fun to photograph her. : )
