Gary

Gary is fighting for his life.

Gary has been documenting his illness for months now.
I am adding a photograph of my own - my very humble and heartfelt attempt to honor a wonderful and dear friend.

Gary is an award winning videographer as well as a talented and dedicated B&W film photographer.
I have gazed upon his images with great admiration many, many times.
They speak to the heart.
He is old school, shooting with a 'Blad' and printing on fiber base in his basement darkroom.

For over 20 years, Audrey and I have come to know, admire and love he and his wife Esther and their family of cats.

We were very saddened to learn that Gary passed away on the evening of Wednesday, October 6th, just three days after this photo was taken.

Gary always signed off in a letter or a phone call with the word "Peace".
We can only hope that you have found your peace Gary. You were truly a wonderful friend.

We will miss you. A lot.
