Built in 1917 with a distinctive architecture, this church is in the city center of Sandavágur, on the south coast of Vágar, Faroe Islands. On display inside the church is a rune stone with an inscription that says Norwegian Torkil Onandarson from Rogaland was the first settler in this place. The stone is believed to be from the 13th century. Excavations in Sandavágur have revealed other ruins from the middle ages.
