The Brookville Hotel is on the National Register of Historic Places.
It was built in 1870. In 1870 Brookville was a railroad division point on
the Kansas Pacific Railroad (nowthe Union Pacific) and also a terminal for
cattle drives fromTexas. In 1890 the roundhouse and division point status were
lost, and all hotels but this one closed their doors.
