Located in Geneva, the J. M. Burk House was built in 1891.
It is locally significant as a well-preserved example of residential Queen Anne architecture, a style that was popular from approximately 1880 to 1910.
Although the style was popular during the period in which the house was built, very few classic Queen Anne houses were constructed in this part of Nebraska.
