Bunkers

Naval Ammunition Depot-Hastings, Nebraska

These bunkers were used for storage of supplies and munitions. Railroad tracks led to the bunkers.
They extend for miles, and I must say they are kind of an eerie sight.
The Dept. of Agriculture uses many of these.
These particular bunkers are on the site of a hunting club.

My Father helped build these bunkers. He was a carpenter. He worked six days at the NAP
and then drove to St Edward where his wife and two sons were living. They all moved to Hastings
when the trailer camps opened.
