Previously when I have visited this site we have been here for the afternoon light. This time we decided to try the morning light and were well rewarded. We left the old shearers quarters (our accommodation) when the kangaroos on the dirt road would be visible... they like to camp on the road at night and enjoy the radiating warmth... and if you hit them they can do such damage to a vehicle.
