This is the view the sheep would have experienced as it came into the shed (without the shearers and without the sheep)from the 1870s when Kinchega Station was a busy sheep property... at its grandest Kinchega Station extended from Menindee to Broken Hill... for non-Australian visitors that's a large area- over 800,000 hectares. The last sheep were shorn in 1967 when the 6 millionth sheep was relieved of its wool. National Parks and Willife Service now manages and maintains the park attracting visitors from around the world.
