Sundance is the little ski resort near Park City, Utah, owned by Robert Redford and renowned for it's yearly film festival. Being enroute late spring, I thought I would check it out. But after hearing so much about it, was a little disappointed. It was not as developed as I thought it might be, but was small scale and quite rustic. There was a central village of artisans, some teaching pottery classes, but little else, at the time I passed through. I was expecting something more oriented toward tourists, such as a shopping area, restaurants, and galleries. Even the "theatre" was little more than a large shed! Perhaps, though, this is still an authentic community, with heart, and focused more on the art than the commercialism. I was simply surprised, as it was later in the day, and I had my heart set on a hamburger but there was none available! http://www.sundanceresort.com/
