Dainty Bess in morning light
This rose was hybridized in 1925 and is known for its delicate scent and magenta stamens. Its petals close up at night and reopen in the morning. There was a Dainty Bess here when we moved into the house but it didn't get enough sun and died. Two years ago I finally bought two new bushes to replace it and they are doing well!
