Aim is to create a tropical garden in a beachside suburb in Sydney. Most people would consider it too cold to grow some of the species here but there are now 5 different heliconias, 8 different gingers, various costus, curcumas and other plants. There are some edible species of gingers and a edible banana tree. The original lawn was 100-250mm below the wall. Levels have been raised by bringing in 4.5m3 of sand, 3m3 of topsoil, and 2m3 of gravel. Lawn is buffalo turf for the shade tolerance.
