More Storm Damage

Better viewed in Orginal!!

Last month I took a picture of this same grove of trees.
I had planned on going back this winter if we had any
snow to get a different scene. I was so surprised when
I drove by here yesterday and found this scene. These
trees have been here for a very long time.

Nature is the boss...what awful destruction it creates.

They look like matchsticks. We had a lot of wind damage last winter here on the island, and I wondered how many years it would take before you couldn't see it anymore. I was surprised that it took months, not years, for most of it to be covered by new growth. I hope your area is "repaired" quickly too.

Katie, this is so devastating. This is quite an image to show the strength of that storm. V

Incredible destruction. Nature tends to heal itself fairly quickly, geologiacally speaking, it will be interesting to see what the area looks like in a few years.
