This new Scottish regatta enjoyed beautiful weather, about 18 McGruer yachts designed by James, Ewing and George McGruer and built by their iconic yard of top quality woods, which started in 1896. George McGruer watched the sail past on Sunday from Cuilaun, a 55' ketch he designed in 1970. Other designers whose boats took part included William Fife II, Alfred Mylne, Holman & Pye, Abeking & Rasmussen, David Ryder Turner.
