Irish Raid 2012

Exploring the Shannon River by small boat, including the oldest one design in the world, the Water Wags, plus the challenging Shannon One Design, plus others and in the company of world class sailors, has to be a fascinating experience. The Lakeland and Inland Waterways Raid, to give it its full name, was the brainchild of Charles-Henri le Moing who created the Raid events -- he has worked for 10 years to pull this one off. It was superb. The Raid started at Lough Erne; I started from Tarmonberry on the northern part of the Shannon, to the finish at Killaloe. Prints available by request.
