There is a funny story to this.
I was driving by in my car, and I saw the young eagle sitting on this rock.
All excited, I stopped my car and grabbed my camera. While I was putting the Crystalvue on and grabbing my tripod, a large shadow went over. I didn't take the time to look, since I was in a hurry to get a picture of the eagle.
Two people I knew were going by, and I told them to look at the eagle.

When I turned around, a cormorant, (which is a very common bird here), was sitting right where the eagle had been
I bet those two people had a good laugh at my expense!!!

I expect that the cormorant saw the eagle and chased him away because he probably thought there was something good to eat there!
