A mother skunk has chosen a prime piece of real estate to birth and raise her young....under my front porth! Since there is no way to safely remove them I am destined to act as expectant father and await their exit to the world outside on their own. Before they exit to the world Momma teaches them all to 'spray'. They practice this by spraying each other!!! It would seem that I am in for a few aromatic weeks while the many babes learn their life trade. *sigh*

Congratulations on the arrival of so many lovely little peppy leppu's and leppuettes!!! I know exactly how you feel being a surrogate father for I have been a surrogate mother to many a raccoon!!! :o) Your collection of photo's showing the family are EXCELLENT along with how you looked after them making sure they were kept safe & fed is ASTOUNDING plus very humane and caring!!! Every year we have skunks that come and eat with the raccoons but only rarely do we see the young as you have been blessed with. And if you think little skunks stink...wait till they are acouple of years older and then their bouquette is unbelieveable!!!! :o)
