Ed Piggott was born in the outskirts of Manchester, England during the blitz in January 1941 (probably why he hated sudden loud noises).
After the war, his family moved to North Wales where his father had a butcher shop, raised animals, and where his love of the sea, animals, and birds began.
He talked about his college days as being fun, a bit wild, and seeing the Beatles in their early days in Liverpool on the weekends.
Ed married, came to Canada and taught school in Prince George. Later he became the principal at Cortes Elementary School.
He loved his farm with various chickens, ducks, cows, pigs and cats.
When dementia made it difficult for him to continue raising animals, having horses pastured in the field made him feel as though things were still as they should be. Ed died in May 2020
