Lisa Monchalin is Algonquin, Métis, Huron, and Scottish; and holds a PhD in Criminology.
She is currently an instructor in the criminology department at Kwantlen Polytechnic University,Canada,
teaching classes in Indigenous Peoples and Justice, Crime Prevention, Community Safety, and Criminal Justice.
She is the author of the book; The Colonial Problem: An Indigenous Perspective on Crime and Injustice in Canada.
