At the entrance to Queen Victoria Park at Falls Avenue
and Clifton Hill are two large stone pillars. Atop each side
sites these stone carvings, which depict the Royal Coat of Arms
of the United Kingdom. First time I have ever looked
at them close up.
The Queen Victoria Niagara Parks was officially opened to the
public on Victoria Day – May 24th 1888.
