These photos show five apparent Common Goldeneye X Hooded Merganser hybrids seen in Minnesota. Although still a relatively rare hybrid, I have seen eight individuals that I believe are this hybrid combinatin in MN, and it seems the number of reports are increasing sharply the last few years.
