I watched H USA as it rose to its glory. H USA was an outstanding resource for the word of god. H USA had numerous activities for visitors and no one was turned away.
H USA had an incredible satelite studio and recording facilities which were used throughout H USA. H USA was a magnet for Christians and Teachers all over the world. The Lord works in very strange ways and H USA was his tool, paid for by the Christians that wanted to be a part of it.
The dark cloud came in later when another minister outside of H USA wanted to get the satelite broadcast studios at H USA. This was all in the news. I don't need to read a book that someone made up to make himself money.
Jim B was exposed as having problems with some lady friend as well as taking some money from donations that he probably should not have. A funny note here, the minister that started all this in order to get ownership of the H USA Satelite broadcast studios was reported to ALSO have a lady on the side and almost lost HIS ministry, which was not connected to H USA.
All said, H USA was a safe place for Christians to go and have fun and prise the Lord with other Christians. Thats what Christians had seeked and found in H USA. That was the intent of H USA and what became of the property by Jim B had nothing to do with the Christians involved. As they say, He who has never sinned, cast the first stone.
Jim B paid the price and worked with the prisoners while serving time. He freely admits he was overwhelmed and did something wrong. To bad the cost of this whole thing was the Christians lost H USA. No one could afford to keep it going. Jim B must have been doing something right.
Its sad to see some of the pics of this once Happy busy place full of loving people.

Rather than just throwing out baseless comments about Jim Bakker, I would suggest you do some research and read the book, "Jim Bakker: Miscarriage of Justice," by James A. Albert J.D. It presents the whole episode in a much different light using facts, documents, and actual trial coverage.

I came here as a kid on family vacations - with my family. I remembered buying a Jim and Tammy Bakker LP (record) in this store (Oops! Here Comes Another Smile) - along with some PTL fan stuff. I listened to these records growing up - telling me about Jesus - never asking me for a cent. Yeah, things went bad for the Bakkers- temptations came up - and we ourselves might have made the same mistakes under certain circumstances if we were in their shoes. God forgives me for the stuff I do wrong and loves me anyway - the same goes for the Bakkers. You know, people's lives were changed forever at Heritage USA back in the day - and I experienced the "good things" in this place. If money was no object - I'd renovate this place and idea - there needs to be a place like Heritage was supposed to be. It made a positive impact on a pretty impressionable kid.

Bakker didn't make a mistake. He lied, stole and defrauded hundreds of people who trusted in him. He was a cheap con artist who used religion to reel in the marks. Jesus tossed quite a few of his ilk out of the temple.

This is very sad,I don't know why any one in the World can make a mistake but IF they are a CHRISTIAN they will not be forgiven,You know it just proves the Word to be true the adversary is an accuser of the Brothern , just STAND and Know that HE alone is GOD.
