The Wish Tree in Chongqing, South West China in May 2007 , was a community participation project organised by the British Council and Lemos and Crane. The purpose was to demonstrate a light touch method of reaching communities through a participative approach which would see the community respond en-masse but with the anonimity of one's answers guaranteed.
This gallery is from the community of Hemu Road, a newly built development in Chongqing providing rehousing for people displaced by the Three Gorges Dam project. In itself this community is a model development with excellent social facilities and social work provision.
