The Wish Tree in Chongqing, South West China in May 2007 , was a community participation project organised by the British Council and Lemos and Crane. The purpose was to demonstrate a light touch method of reaching communities through a participative approach which would see the community respond en-masse but with the anonimity of one's answers guaranteed.

This gallery is from the community of Ciqikou, an ancient town incorporated into Chongqing. This area attracts a very large tourist footfall - nearly all Chinese visitors and is a mix of commercial properties (small shops) and peoples' homes.
