The new Helsinki central public library (Oodi in Finnish = Ode in English) was appointed 2019 Public Library of the Year award in the World Library and Information Congress of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA).
Oodi has stunning architecture, but not only that, it operates to provide its users a wide range of services in a relaxing and cozy atmosphere. No wonder it has been called the living room of Helsinki.
This is a reportage of the place not intended to be artistic.
