How nice you noticed the similarity! The division to a portrait and a landscape was interesting too, i hadn't thought about it. Otherwise, i quite like the light in this one. I just noticed the horizon is a bit aslant once again...

Its curious to compare the two, which are similar- but not the same, one is landscape, one is portrait- but I imagine taken from the same view point. I think both have their strength, with the autumnal trees I'd vouch for colour, but otherwise it would be b&w.
