Mr. Wonder and I

Washington, DC

It's not everyday that you meet a living legend at a photographic equipment store.
I had just exited the Penn Camera store on E street in NW Washington,DC.
A black SUV pulls up in front of the store and out steps "The" incomparable Mr. Stevie Wonder.
He and his bodyguard enter the store while my friends and I stand outside in awe.
After about 30 minutes Mr. Wonder exits the store and I ask for his permission to take a photo.
He tells me to get in the photo with him and so I have my friend take the shot (Thanks Joe).
He asks me my name and I tell him.
Afterwards he shakes my hand, wishes me a Happy New Year and gets back into the SUV.
Thanks for your time and the photo Mr. Wonder.

Heather, I asked myself the same question. As it turns out there is a camera that will read aloud what it sees. That is what he was checking out in the store or so I’m told.

What is a blind man doing in a photography equipment store? Was he buying something for himself or a friend? Can Stevie Wonder see? I want to see his photos if he was buying something for himself!
