(Montreal) The McGill University Non-Academic Certified Association (MUNACA) represents 1,700 non-academic
employees,including library assistants, lab technicians, and clerical administrators.
They have been without a contract since November 2010, and went on strike on September 1, 2011

Friday, 28 October, 2011 McGill striking employees marked the death of Free Speech by holding a mock funeral march in the streets of Montreal.

Thursday, 10 November,2011 over 200,000 students from across Quebec go on strike –
including McGill’s Arts Undergraduate Society – McGill’s graduate students, teaching and support staff(MUNACA) are adding their voices to the fight against tuition hikes.
