...crossing the bridge on the Caloosahatchee River between
Fort Myers and Cape Coral shortly after checking on my condo; power is
out in Fort Myers but my brother lives up the street from a fire station in Cape Coral, so
the electric gets back on quickly, so here I am.... Wilma came ashore at
daybreak as a category 3 hurricane; most of the results are south of where I
live... I spent the night in a hurricane shelter that is also a hospice (with backup
generators so no power loss) courtesy of my fabulous sister in law
