Tanzhe and Jietai Temples
There's lots of excellent Chinglish in here.
Cool statues representing various mythical characters.
The main hall in the temple.
A big, old tree.
This tree needed lots of support, metal bars, guywires, everything.
The two large trees in this picture are protecting this tomb of a famous monk of the temple.
The temple grounds.
Big incense.
More good chinglish.
Cute little dog at the entrance to the temple. Here the dog pictures commence.
Li laoshi feeding the dog.
And running away when they wanted more.
Li laoshi still in retreat.
Dog!
One more dog-attacking-Li-laoshi picture.
Lion protecting the entrance to Jietai Temple.
Another crazy old tree.
A wasp-like thing, it was really this color, very yellow-ish.
Another really old tree.
This tree was 1600 years old, called Nine Dragon Pine.
Incense smoke in the sunlight.
So amazing to see leaves that change color.
David riding on the swing.
It just wouldn't be a good trip if I didn't take a picture of Li laoshi without her knowing. It's my job as Program Intern.
Chris and Li laoshi on the swing.
The Chinese means "This way to the exit."
Apparently "strictly" is a difficult word to spell.
