Cousins Andrew and Julia playing in their U-12 and U-14 soccer leagues respectively. Rented the Canon 300mm f/2.8 lens for it, which was of course excellent. I ran into the problem I always seem to have when shooting games about which I actually care, I'll usually get a couple good shots and then stop to watch the game and miss some great action without realizing it. Still there are some decent ones in here.
There are a lot more of Andrew's game since he played during the day the keeper rate was much higher on that game than Julia's night match, which was very poorly lit.
Gettin a boot on it!
Makin a stop at goalie.
Got it!
Halftime, great assistant coaching Dennis!
Breakaway!
Taking a long shot.
4v1??
And guess who comes out with it, much to the chagrin of that one dude behind him.
Fighting for it!
A friend of Andrew's looking fancy.
Waiting for the corner kick...
And making the header! This looked a LOT like a goal to me, but the ref didn't call it a goal, still a perfect one touch header.
