A lot of the butterflies we found in the forest seemed to be on-the-move most of the time. Very active compared to the loungers we find on the flowers around the yard here in AZ. This perched butter was a welcome change from the norm in Ecuador and Mel took advantage to grab this image. Macro shots in this gallery were taken with and without flash, but the ones with flash were taken using Nikon's "new" to us multiple wireless remote flash unit using two flashes mounted on the adapter ring that attaches to the front of the lens via a filter adapter. Master function was accomplished using the pop-up flash of the D-70. Sorry but the EXIF data is not always correct on our images after we upload to PBase.
