Melanie and I both looked at this clump of vegetation from a ways off and realized something wasn't quite right about it. It wasn't until we approached closer that we realized the reason for the break in the pattern of leaves was this beautiful and well-camoflaged green lizard. This critter we found along Panuco Road, a well-known birding locality along the Durango Hwy, and also a fabulous place to see a variety of butterflies including the show-stopping white morpho!
